LCG believes that the value of people lies as much in their professional capabilities as in their personal and relational skills, and that both must be cultivated with dedication. Personal growth, through personal, relational and family life experiences, is therefore fundamental to becoming better professionals and developing the empathy that underpins the relationship with the client.
Creating a working environment that promotes a balance between professional and personal life is a priority for our firm and is continuously updated with tools, policies and guidelines that value the ability to organise one's time according to personal commitments (autonomy) while always safeguarding the seriousness and quality of work (professionalism), and which includes the ability to work remotely (smart working) to optimise time and professional outcomes.
In this context, the experience of parenthood is one of the aspects that LCG has sought to protect since the firm's early years. Set out below are the measures adopted by the firm to facilitate parenthood in its various forms, bearing in mind that individual measures may be adapted and tailored to specific individual circumstances. In such cases, LCG commits, consistently with the stated principles, to defining the most appropriate arrangements.
MATERNITY CONTRIBUTION
A professional who collaborates regularly with the firm is entitled, for the period of suspension, to a payment that supplements the amount received from Cassa Forense. The firm proposes the suspension of active collaboration for 16 weeks, of which at least 3 are before the expected date of birth; this period of suspension is agreed with the professional. In the event of adoption/foster care, identical arrangements apply, with suspension periods agreed taking into account specific needs. For employees, the provisions of applicable law and the National Collective Agreement for Professional Firms (CCNL Studi Professionali) apply.
PATERNITY CONTRIBUTION
On the occasion of the birth of a child, the new father professional is given the opportunity to suspend active professional collaboration for one week with recognition of remuneration.
RETURN TO PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION AND FLEXIBILITY
To facilitate an effective and productive return to professional collaboration while respecting family needs, the professional may agree a reduction in objectives (billing/cases/tasks) with consequent flexibility in daily organisation, which provides for guaranteed availability within a fixed time window to allow professional relations with clients and colleagues (indicatively until 4:00 p.m.). New fathers may also request a reduction in their objectives to facilitate the balancing of family commitments with professional ones and the shared distribution of caring responsibilities between parents. Based on the reduction of performance and objectives, a corresponding reduction in professional remuneration may be agreed, although LCG commits to promoting working arrangements that allow professionals to maintain their average earnings.
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
In particular, new parents on their return have the option of using Smart Working extensively, consistently with the professional activities to be carried out.
